Krishna’s Detention Linked to Srikanth’s Drug Case

Tamil Nadu police have taken Tamil actor Krishna into custody in Kerala, following connections to a drug case stemming from the arrest of fellow actor Srikanth. Srikanth was apprehended for allegedly purchasing and using cocaine. This incident has now revealed a larger web of deceit, centered around a job scam that alleges numerous individuals were defrauded with the promise of government positions related to the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, among others.

The Job Scam Linked to Police Corruption

The investigation traces back to May 22, when a clash at a Chennai nightclub led to the arrest of intoxicated individuals, including a former AIADMK IT wing official named Prasad. Subsequent inquiries revealed Prasad’s illicit operations, which included cheating job seekers under the guise of connections within the police department. It was uncovered that Prasad had engaged in extensive fraud, offering jobs to numerous victims while maintaining contacts with a chief constable who aided him by providing sensitive information.

Connections to Drug Trafficking and Land Grabbing

Moreover, as the investigation unfolded, authorities discovered Prasad’s connection to a drug network, revealing that he had been purchasing cocaine from a Bengaluru dealer with the assistance of an individual from Ghana. During this process, the Nungambakkam police seized 11 grams of the narcotic along with evidence of associated money laundering activities. With Srikanth already in custody, police are now focusing on locating other individuals involved in this drug trade, including Krishna, while simultaneously tackling a significant land-grabbing scheme connected with Prasad and his associates, resulting in 22 arrests so far.

The recent detainment of Tamil actor Krishna highlights the troubling intersection of drug-related offenses, job scams, and police complicity in Chennai. With multiple arrests already made, authorities are determined to root out corruption and dismantle the intricate network that has come to light. As investigations continue, further arrests are likely imminent, aiming to ensure accountability across all facets of the case.
