In a tragic incident, a 45-year-old man from Zhombe, identified as Shepherd Mavhangira, was fatally attacked while attempting to prevent three men from assaulting patrons at a local bar in Kwekwe, Midlands province. The assault involved the use of bricks, resulting in Mavhangira’s death at the scene.

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) National Spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, confirmed the details of the case and the ongoing search for the suspects. The identified offenders, Kenias Mapfumo, Armstrong Marumahoko, and Mathias Tatenda Dhlamini, are wanted in connection with the murder that occurred on March 13, 2025, at Mushange Business Centre, Zhombe.

According to Commissioner Nyathi, the suspects struck Mavhangira multiple times with bricks, impacting his forehead, thigh, and left bicep. Law enforcement has urged the public to come forward with any information that may assist in apprehending the fugitives, requesting reports be made to the nearest police station.
