Prior to her disappearance, she made two Venmo payments within the afternoon, the first occurring at 2:54 PM. This transaction included a sailboat emoji in its description, while the second payment mentioned “coco bongo,” a popular nightclub in the area, suggesting her plans for the evening.

In the ongoing investigation, U.S. authorities have identified 24-year-old Joshua Riibe as a person of interest. He was seen with Sudiksha shortly before her disappearance. Both U.S. federal law enforcement agencies and local authorities in the Dominican Republic are collaborating on the case, though Riibe is not considered a suspect at this time, according to Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Chad Quinn.

Konanki’s disappearance has prompted her father to request that local authorities expand the investigation. The University of Pittsburgh has expressed its support for the Konanki family by coordinating with relevant authorities. Dominican Republic’s President, Luis Abinader, remarked that the individual last seen with Sudiksha explained their presence on the beach, stating they were hit by a wave. Meanwhile, searches have yet to uncover her belongings.
