Currently, both individuals are being held in custody as police continue their inquiries.

Detectives have released a taxi driver and a waiter who were earlier apprehended, deeming them innocent and now classifying them as witnesses. The investigation is focusing on financial leads, including mobile phone activities linked to the suspects, as well as unauthorized withdrawals from Mr. Scott’s bank accounts shortly after his disappearance.

In light of the preliminary findings, including inconclusive initial autopsy results, toxicology tests have been ordered. Pathologist Johansen Oduor noted that while Scott had suffered head trauma and soft tissue injuries, they appeared insufficient to cause death, necessitating further investigation. Mr. Scott had been in Kenya for a conference on February 15 and was last heard from after a social outing prior to his disappearance.
