According to reports, suspected bandits impersonating officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have abducted ten guests from the White Hill Hotel located on Shiroro Road in Niger State’s Chanchaga Local Government Area. Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, disclosed that this event transpired around 4:58 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2025.
The armed assailants reportedly entered the hotel under the pretext of being EFCC personnel conducting an official operation. Upon gaining access, they disabled the hotel’s CCTV cameras before systematically targeting individual guests in their rooms, forcibly taking them to an undisclosed location.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police from the State Intelligence Department has confirmed that an investigation is currently underway to identify those responsible for the abduction and to locate the victims. Additionally, Makama emphasized the importance of public vigilance, urging individuals to report any suspicious activities, as authorities work diligently to gather more information regarding the incident.
