Cybersecurity experts have advised individuals to exercise caution when forming relationships with people they meet online, notably through social media platforms. During interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), experts shared insights regarding the Cybercrime Prohibition, Prevention, etc Act (2015), which aims to establish a framework for mitigating internet-related risks in Nigeria. Oluwatoyin Dada, an internet security specialist, identified women as particularly susceptible to online scams related to romantic relationships.
