Today, Ghana will experience mixed weather conditions with thunderstorms in the southern regions and sunny weather in the north. Major coastal cities may face afternoon storms, while northern areas will likely remain sunny yet may encounter late-day showers. The public is advised to monitor updates and take precautions.

Ghana is set to face a mix of weather conditions today, June 20, 2025, as outlined in a recent forecast from the Ghana Meteorological Agency. It appears that the southern regions are gearing up for thunderstorms, while the northern areas will enjoy mostly sunny skies with a chance of isolated showers.

Cities along the coast and in the central belt—such as Accra, Cape Coast, and Koforidua—are likely to deal with thunderstorms later in the day after experiencing partly cloudy weather in the morning. Temperatures are expected to rise to about 31 degrees Celsius, but they will drop to around 26 degrees Celsius in the evening. Notably, residents in hilly and forested zones should also prepare for early morning mist.

In contrast, the northern regions, including Bolgatanga and Wa, are forecasted to remain mostly sunny with an anticipated high of 34 degrees Celsius. However, there may still be a risk of late-day thunderstorms in certain areas, so caution is advised.

The Meteorological Agency has urged those living in areas prone to thunderstorms to keep a close watch on updates and take precautionary measures. Additionally, motorists are advised to remain vigilant regarding visibility issues caused by fog in certain regions during morning travels.

In summary, Ghanaians should prepare for a day of contrasting weather patterns, with thunderstorms expected in the south and sunnier conditions in the north. Residents are encouraged to stay informed through weather updates and exercise caution, especially while traveling during the morning hours.
