James Ngan, Managing Director of Allied Motors, described the partnership as transformative for the automotive sector in Mauritius. He remarked that the TATA.ev range offers an optimal blend of performance, efficiency, and cutting-edge technology, complemented by extensive after-sales support. Ngan expressed optimism that these new EV models would revolutionize transportation in Mauritius and enhance the customer ownership experience.
The Tiago.ev is designed as an affordable and well-equipped entry-level EV, boasting a real-world range of 190-210 kilometers and fast-charging capabilities. The Punch.ev, a compact SUV, features premium attributes such as a 26.03 cm Harman infotainment system and a range of 270-290 kilometers. The flagship model, Nexon.ev, offers an impressive range of 350-375 kilometers, rapid acceleration (0-100 km/h in just 8.9 seconds), and high-end amenities, including a 360-degree camera and JBL audio system.
All TATA.ev models are provided with an extensive 8-year/160,000 km warranty on the battery and motor, complemented by a 7-year vehicle warranty. Customers will also receive a complimentary 7.2 kW home charging wall box to enhance their charging convenience. Moreover, Allied Motors promises comprehensive sales and after-sales support through its network, with personnel trained by Tata Motors to maintain high service standards.
