TATA.ev and Allied Motors Unveil Electric Vehicle Portfolio in Mauritius

TATA.ev, in partnership with Allied Motors, launches its electric vehicle portfolio in Mauritius, featuring models like Tiago.ev, Punch.ev, and Nexon.ev. The vehicles emphasize performance, safety, and maintenance ease. Industry leaders Yash Khandelwal and James Ngan discussed the strategic importance of the Mauritian market in promoting electric mobility and assured consumers of a transformative automotive experience.

TATA.ev, a subsidiary of Tata Motors and the leading electric vehicle manufacturer in India, has officially launched its electric vehicle portfolio in Mauritius. This initiative, in collaboration with Allied Motors, aims to provide a range of electric vehicles including the Tiago.ev, Punch.ev, and Nexon.ev, all focused on performance, safety, comfort, and easy maintenance.

Yash Khandelwal, Head of International Business at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., remarked on the significance of Mauritius in their expansion strategy, noting its potential in sustainable mobility. As a leader in the electric vehicle market in India and succeeding in SAARC countries, TATA.ev is poised to assist Mauritius in its shift to electric transportation.

James Ngan, Managing Director of Allied Motors, highlighted the exceptional blend of power, efficiency, and technology within the new TATA.ev portfolio. He assured consumers that Allied Motors would deliver an outstanding ownership experience supported by comprehensive service and after-sales assistance, promising a transformative impact on Mauritius’s automotive environment.

The Tiago.ev is tailored for urban commuting, featuring a 24 kWh battery providing a real-world range of 190-210 km, multi-mode regeneration, and rapid fast-charging capabilities, achieving 10-80% charge in 58 minutes. Additionally, it includes automatic climate control and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The Punch.ev is equipped with a 35 kWh battery that offers a range of 270-290 km, alongside premium features such as an HD infotainment system by HARMAN and wireless smartphone integration. Its 90 kW motor provides quick acceleration with 190 Nm of torque, ensuring an efficient driving experience.

As a flagship model, the Nexon.ev comes with a robust 45 kWh battery for a real-world range of 350-375 km, generating notable power with 106 kW and 215 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 8.9 seconds and is enhanced with features such as a JBL sound system and voice-assisted sunroof.

Each electric vehicle model includes an 8-year/160,000 km warranty for both the battery and motor, along with a 7-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty. Buyers will also benefit from a complimentary 7.2 kW Home Charging Wall Box and Cable for at-home charging convenience. Allied Motors ensures customer satisfaction through a team of dedicated sales consultants and skilled service advisors trained by Tata Motors.
