The Tanzania Meteorological Authority has issued a three-day weather alert for heavy rainfall starting March 27, 2025. Flooding is a concern in several residential areas. Specific regions will experience persistent rain, impacting various localities across the country.

The Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA) has issued a warning for heavy rainfall affecting various regions in Tanzania over three consecutive days, commencing on Thursday, March 27, 2025. The TMA cautioned that these significant rainfalls could potentially result in flooding in residential areas.

On Thursday, March 27, heavy rain is anticipated in regions including Mara, Kagera, Geita, Simiyu, Mwanza, Shinyanga, Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Manyara, Singida, Dodoma, Kigoma, Tabora, and Katavi.

On Friday, March 28, rainfall will continue in Mara, Geita, Simiyu, Mwanza, Shinyanga, Arusha, Kilimanjaro, and Manyara, with the forecast expanding to include Singida, Dodoma, Tabora, Tanga, Dar es Salaam, Morogoro, Pwani, Lindi, Mtwara, as well as the islands of Unguja and Pemba.

By Saturday, March 29, the expected heavy rains will persist in Mara, Kagera, Geita, Simiyu, Mwanza, Shinyanga, Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Manyara, Singida, Dodoma, and Tabora.

The Tanzania Meteorological Authority has aptly alerted the public regarding anticipated heavy rainfall and the associated risks of flooding throughout various regions. Residents in the affected areas are advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions during this weather alert period.
