In an alarming incident, a man named Mubarak, who is believed to be mentally unstable, has been apprehended by the Niger State Police Command after allegedly stabbing 25-year-old Shamseen Danshehu fatally. The violent confrontation took place on a Sunday evening in the Kwangila area of Minna, the capital of Niger State, culminating in a tragic outcome for Danshehu.

Eyewitnesses reported an altercation between the two men, the cause of which remains unclear. Residents noted that Mubarak had frequently been seen wandering the streets and rummaging through refuse containers for food or items of value. Unfortunately, following the attack, Danshehu was transported to Minna General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Wasiu Abiodun, the spokesperson for the Niger State Police Command, confirmed the incident, stating, “the suspect was arrested.” Further details revealed that Mubarak, who had a history of scavenging, engaged in a physical fight with Danshehu.
