Car Theft Incident During World Cup Qualifier Match in Nairobi

A man reported his silver Toyota IST stolen from a parking lot while attending the Kenya vs Gabon match. The vehicle was parked behind Nairobi West Hospital at 3:40 PM and was missing by 7 PM. Police are also investigating another theft of a Toyota Axio in Juja.

A man’s car was reported stolen from a parking lot while he was watching the World Cup qualifier match between Kenya and Gabon. According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the vehicle, a silver Toyota IST with registration number KBN 093B, was parked along Kisauni Road behind Nairobi West Hospital at approximately 3:40 PM.

After enjoying the match, the owner returned around 7:00 PM to find the parking spot empty. He promptly reported the theft to the Akila Police Station in Lang’ata, where officers have since commenced an investigation to recover the stolen vehicle.

In a related incident, police in Juja are investigating another vehicle theft involving a white Toyota Axio, which was stolen from outside a residence in the Matangi area, near Rurii Primary School, Kimbo. The owner had parked it outside on Saturday night and discovered it missing upon waking up.

The recent car theft incidents highlight the vulnerability of vehicles parked in public and residential areas. The police are actively investigating both cases to facilitate the recovery of the stolen vehicles. Additionally, the public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities to assist law enforcement efforts.
