On Wednesday, the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) issued a warning regarding forthcoming adverse weather conditions expected to occur on Thursday across several regions of Morocco. These conditions include strong winds with speeds anticipated to reach between 75 and 85 kilometers per hour, alongside dust storms that could lead to significantly reduced visibility.

The regions expected to be affected include Figuig, Boulemane, Azilal, Sidi Bennour, Safi, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Youssoufia, Marrakech, Essaouira, Midelt, Errachidia, Tinghir, and Ouarzazate. The forecast indicates that these strong winds will prevail from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., prompting the issuance of an orange-level alert to prepare residents for the severe changes in weather.

In light of these conditions, the General Directorate of Meteorology strongly advises residents to take appropriate safety measures. This includes exercising caution due to diminished visibility caused by dust storms and refraining from unnecessary travel during times of high wind activity, ensuring the safety of individuals in affected areas.

In summary, significant weather disturbances characterized by strong winds and dust storms are forecasted to affect various regions in Morocco on Thursday. The General Directorate of Meteorology urges citizens to adhere to safety precautions to mitigate risks associated with reduced visibility and hazardous travel conditions during this period.
