Steve Witkoff confirmed that discussions regarding the Ukraine war will resume in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday. He highlighted the significance of reaching consensus on key issues like ceasefires and moratoriums following recent high-level communications between the United States and Russia.

Steve Witkoff, the United States Special Envoy, announced that further discussions on the Ukraine conflict are scheduled for Sunday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. During an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, Witkoff stated, “The devil is in the details. We’ve got a team going to Saudi Arabia, led by our national security adviser Mike Waltz and our secretary of state Marco Rubio, and I think, you know, we’ve got to figure out those details.”

Following a conversation between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Witkoff expressed optimism about the discussions. He noted, “The point is that up until recently we really didn’t have consensus around these aspects: The energy and infrastructure ceasefire and the Black Sea moratorium on firing. Today we got to that place, and I think it’s a relatively short distance to a full ceasefire from there.”

In conclusion, the upcoming talks in Saudi Arabia signify a pivotal moment for resolving the Ukraine conflict, focusing on key issues such as an energy and infrastructure ceasefire and stability in the Black Sea. The U.S. delegation, led by notable figures, aims to transform recent agreements into a comprehensive ceasefire strategy.
