Caitlyn Jenner’s Support for Trump Amid Deportations and Mega-Prison Controversy

Caitlyn Jenner published her strong support for Trump’s deportation of Venezuelan gang members to El Salvador, emphasizing law and order as a priority. She praised the expulsion of violent offenders while addressing the controversies surrounding these actions, including a temporary judicial block. Moreover, she reaffirmed her support for Trump regarding policies affecting trans individuals in sports.
Caitlyn Jenner, a prominent supporter of former President Donald Trump’s policies, has publicly reacted to his administration’s decision to deport over 200 alleged Venezuelan gang members to El Salvador. Jenner, aged 75, previously expressed her confidence in Trump’s leadership, proclaiming that “hope is back in America” following his re-election.
During a recent announcement, Trump stated he would invoke the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to expedite these deportations. In response, Jenner asserted on social media, “This is what America voted for and deserves – law and order.” She emphasized the appropriateness of removing violent offenders who should not have been in the United States.
The decision to deport these criminals includes 238 members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua and 23 from the notorious MS-13 gang. The Trump administration justified its actions by accusing the gang of orchestrating threats against U.S. territory, claiming that the current situation is akin to an invasion because of the influx of criminals during President Biden’s term.
Controversially, U.S. District Judge James Boasberg issued an order temporarily blocking these deportations for two weeks, citing the need for further legal review. Despite this judicial intervention, deportees were reportedly already sent to El Salvador, prompting the El Salvadoran President, Nayib Bukele, to mockingly state on social media, “Oopsie… Too late.”
Upon their arrival, the deportees were set to be transferred to the Terrorism Confinement Center (Cecot), a mega-prison in El Salvador that has faced criticism from human rights organizations for its harsh conditions. Jenner’s unwavering support for Trump extends beyond immigration issues; she has also backed his efforts to ban transwomen from women’s sports, affirming a commitment to “lobbying sport governing bodies around the world.”
Caitlyn Jenner’s commentary on Trump’s mass deportations underscores her staunch advocacy for his policies, which she believes align with American values of law and order. Despite judicial challenges to these deportations, the commitment to a hardline approach against crime, particularly concerning gang members, reflects a broader debate over immigration and safety in the United States. Jenner’s involvement highlights a significant intersection between politics, sports, and advocacy roles within the current socio-political landscape.
