The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) in Saudi Arabia has issued an alert predicting moderate to heavy thunderstorms across various regions from Wednesday to Sunday. The Makkah region, including cities like Makkah and Jeddah, may experience these storms, with warnings of flash floods and hail, as well as dust storms with winds of up to 60 km/h.
The Madinah region is also under similar conditions, with anticipated moderate to heavy rainfall and dust storms, leading to potential flash floods and hail in areas such as Madinah and Khaybar. Likewise, the Al-Baha region is forecasted to face moderate to heavy rains and dust storms, accompanied by risks of flash floods and hail.
In the Asir region, meteorologists expect particularly intense rainfall on Friday and Saturday, with associated dust and sand storms reaching 60 km/h, alongside flash floods and hail. Residents in the Jazan region should prepare for comparable conditions, while Najran will see moderate rainfall with accompanying severe weather hazards.
In contrast, regions including Riyadh, Qassim, and Hail might experience lighter weather, with predictions of light to moderate rains coupled with dusty winds from Wednesday through Sunday. The NCM advises all residents in the affected areas to remain vigilant during this period.
