Musembi is accused of driving the vehicle that conveyed Scott’s corpse to Makongo Forest in Makueni County, where it was ultimately located. Reports indicate that a friend discovered Musembi fatally wounded from a self-inflicted stab wound after he locked himself inside a room. A police source commented on the situation, indicating, “The heat on him was too much. He died by suicide.”
Authorities have confirmed that two additional suspects, Bernard Mbunga Mbusu and Alphonse Munya Kilewa, commonly known as Edu, remain at large. Investigators believe these individuals are linked to Scott’s brutal murder, whose body was found on February 22, 2025, in Makongo Forest after allegedly being lured there.
Law enforcement suspects that £12,000 was illicitly withdrawn from Scott’s accounts following his murder, which they believe was facilitated by the theft of his mobile phone and bank cards. It has been revealed that approximately two million Kenyan shillings were withdrawn before Scott’s body was discovered. Following the initial disappearances on February 17, police detained two individuals in Mombasa, 300 miles from Nairobi, as part of ongoing investigations.
These arrested suspects are believed to have attempted illicit transactions using Scott’s credit cards at various locations. One of the suspects, Alex Mutua, is reportedly captured on CCTV with Mr. Scott on the day preceding his disappearance.
