The police in Nairobi have confirmed the death of Samuel Musembi, a suspect in the murder of British businessman Campbell Scott. Musembi reportedly died by suicide on Wednesday morning while receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital. He had previously attempted to poison himself before resorting to stabbing himself multiple times.
Musembi was accused of driving the vehicle that transported Scott’s body from Pipeline in Nairobi to Makongo Forest in Makueni County, where the remains were discovered on February 22. Prior to his death, Musembi was evading capture and had stayed at a relative’s home and then a friend’s house, who was unaware of his involvement in the crime.
