The child was killed in the incident, and the mother sustained injuries.
Yamu elaborated that a member of the Public Safety Response, implicated in the accident, was rescued from a potential mob attack and is currently in custody for further investigations. Efforts are also underway to locate and apprehend the driver, who fled the scene immediately after the incident.
