Connected Minerals (ASX:CML) has engaged the Namibian drilling contractor Hammerstein Drilling to commence its inaugural reverse circulation reconnaissance drilling program at the Etango North-East and Swakopmund projects in Namibia. The drilling is set to start in April and will cover a total of 33 holes over 2,500 meters, with 2,000 meters designated for Etango North-East and 450 meters for Swakopmund.

The company’s initial focus will be on Etango North-East, where high-priority targets were identified following a rock chip sampling program conducted in December 2024. After completing this phase of drilling, the team will shift to the Swakopmund site, concentrating on targets discovered through a recently conducted horizontal-loop electromagnetic survey.

CEO Warrick Clent emphasized the significance of partnering with Hammerstein Drilling, viewing it as a crucial milestone that enables the company to initiate drilling operations in April. “The commencement of drilling will be a major milestone for Connected Minerals and will build on the encouraging targets we have identified at both projects during our field work to date,” stated Clent.

Furthermore, he expressed anticipation for a productive exploration phase, noting, “We look forward to beginning drilling in April, just four months after the relisting of Connected Minerals, and anticipate strong news flow in the months ahead.” Hammerstein Drilling, located in Swakopmund, brings extensive experience, having undertaken reverse circulation drilling for mining explorers across Namibia, Angola, and globally.
