Luca Marini will test in Brazil after the Argentine Grand Prix, returning to a circuit where he previously achieved his first MotoGP Sprint podium. He will ride a Honda RC213V as he aims to build on his promising start to the season. Marini will be the first current MotoGP rider to test the Brazilian circuit ahead of its 2026 debut.

Luca Marini will remain in South America following the Argentine Grand Prix to conduct tests in Brazil. This weekend, Marini returns to the circuit where he achieved his first MotoGP Sprint podium, but he will be riding a Honda instead of a Ducati. He began the 2025 season positively with the Honda HRC Castrol team, finishing 12th at the Thai Grand Prix.

As he prepares for the Argentine Grand Prix, Marini will race the Honda RC213V at the Termas de Rio Honda circuit. Expressing optimism, Marini remarked, “In Thailand we were able to accomplish a very good weekend overall, so now flying to Argentina I am optimistic we can continue in this way.

He added, “I don’t think arriving there for the first time on the Honda will be a problem. The team and I did a lot of work over the off season to get the base of the bike into a good position, so I know that we can start correctly.” Marini looks forward to building on his previous success, having achieved his inaugural Sprint podium in Argentina in 2023.

After concluding the race in Argentina, Marini will test the Brazilian circuit at the Goiânia International Racetrack Ayrton Senna. While it remains undisclosed which machine he will utilize for this test, he will be the first current MotoGP rider to experience the Brazilian track before its inclusion in the MotoGP calendar in 2026. Marini expressed his enthusiasm for this opportunity, stating: “After Argentina, I will go to Brazil for the first time to try the new track we will race at next year – an exciting trip!”

Luca Marini is poised to test a new circuit in Brazil following the Argentine Grand Prix, where he anticipates a positive outcome with the Honda HRC Castrol team. His upcoming tests mark his debut at the Goiânia International Racetrack ahead of the 2026 MotoGP season. Marini’s prior race experience in Argentina serves as a platform for continued success with Honda in the MotoGP championship.
