Although local authorities have suggested that the 20-year-old pre-med student likely drowned after jumping into the ocean, her family remains unconvinced and has filed a complaint to enhance search efforts, expressing concerns over a potential criminal abduction.
Subbarayudu Konanki, Sudiksha’s father, emphasized the urgency by stating, “It’s four days, and if she was in water, she would likely have been strewn to shore.” Her family is attracted to the theory of foul play, especially since Sudiksha’s personal belongings, such as her phone and wallet, were left behind, which is unusual for her.
On Thursday around 4 a.m., Sudiksha went to the beach with friends but did not return. According to her father, her friends reported her absence approximately 12 hours later. Surveillance footage captured her and others near the beach prior to her disappearance.
