A postmortem on Campbell Scott, a 58-year-old British national found deceased in Makongo Forest, was performed but results were not disclosed. Dr. Richard Njoroge conducted the examination without revealing cause of death. Investigators have arrested a taxi driver and a waiter in connection with the case, and further samples have been collected for analysis.

A postmortem examination was conducted on the body of Campbell Scott, a 58-year-old British national, at Makueni County Referral Hospital on Thursday. This examination was carried out by Deputy Government Pathologist, Dr. Richard Njoroge, who was accompanied by personnel from the Homicide Division of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Nairobi. Although the examination concluded, Dr. Njoroge declined to disclose the cause of death, stating, “I cannot not speak today, not today.”

The body of Mr. Scott was discovered on Sunday by a cattle herder in Makongo Forest, concealed in a sack alongside some pineapples. As investigations continue, authorities have arrested a taxi driver and a waiter, who are providing assistance in the case. Homicide detectives have collected samples for additional forensic analysis, and subsequently, the body was transported to Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi.

The deceased’s family representative, David Hornus, who witnessed the postmortem proceedings, also refrained from making any statements to the press, further emphasizing the sensitivity surrounding the case. The investigation into Mr. Scott’s death remains ongoing, with law enforcement committed to uncovering the circumstances leading to this tragic event.
