According to Kagera Regional Police Commander, Blasius Chatanda, Tinchwa confronted Buberwa at his home after discovering that his door had been broken into. The teacher then allegedly delivered several punches to the student’s forehead and struck him with an iron rod on his arms and legs. Despite being taken to Rwambaizi Dispensary for medical treatment, Buberwa succumbed to his injuries. Commander Chatanda emphasized that the unfortunate incident arose from the teacher’s decision to take the law into his own hands, applying what he termed as excessive punishment.
